Jeff has been a professional fishing guide for over 20 years. Jeff has been fortunate to guide anglers in Alaska, Chile and his home state of Michigan during his lifetime. Jeff currently spends the summer months guiding in Alaska at Anglers Alibi for salmon and rainbow trout. Before leaving and upon returning from Alaska, Jeff is actively guiding our local streams found here in Northern Michigan. With his diverse guiding experience and passion for the game Jeff is a very knowledgeable and dedicated captain.
GUIDING IN MICHIGAN
Besides guiding in Alaska during the summer, Jeff enjoys spending the majority of his season guiding In Northern Michigan on the Pere Marquette and Manistee rivers. Jeff is very partial to the fishing opportunities provided on the Pere Marquette river throughout the early spring and early summer. The Pere Marquette river is unique at this time of year as it allows anglers a wide range of fishing techniques to employ during the early spring. Throughout this time of year the Pere Marquette river also allows anglers a chance at a mixed bag of steelhead, brown, and rainbow trout that can be caught with stripped streamers and/or indicator fishing methods. As the water warms up heading into the early summer, good insect hatches begin to appear on the Pere Marquette river offering anglers some quality dry fly fishing experiences as well.
Jeff also enjoys spending time in the fall on the Manistee River for steelhead. The fall steelhead run on the Manistee river is second to none and Jeff is well versed in the pursuit of steelhead throughout the Manistee system.
