Swing Fly Trucker Hat
New Mangled Fly Swing Trucker Hat , currently on “pre-buy” status but expecting this hat next week (October 13th), just in time for Steelhead Season. Also working on a Wax Cotton edition that IO’m excited about, that I’ll be posting soon. Get one of these hats while they last. Same Trucker hat as the popular (1 left in Black, 4 left in Red) Dry Fly Trucker Hat we released this summer.
Thank you for your continued support and hoping this hat has the good luck charms of some of our other hats. For all those that are superstitious as I am about “good luck” hats. I’ve been liking the looks of this hat, and with some of the reports about steelhead (all good reports) can’t wait for this fall.

New Long Sleeve Coming Soon
Brown Trout Sun Shirt

Next week a New long sleeve Sun shirt will be hitting the store. Thank you Kean Oh for letting us use one of your amazing drawings. A beautiful Michigan Brown Trout on the back, in stunning 8 color design, with the Dry Fly Mangled Fly Logo on the front. Same Logo as our Dry Fly Hat that came out last week. This long sleeve shirt will be printed on one of the nicest Sun Shirts that I’ve ever worn. The Long Sleeve Sun Shirt has been a staple of my day to day wardrobe since they first started coming out. This particular one is made my Hanes and is the most comfortable one to date. I’ll post another blog when they arrive but wanted to share the image. Limited addition so get them while they last.
New Mangled Fly Hat

New Camo Hat and Black Hat in AK
- Jerry Darkes sent in a few amazing pictures from his AK adventure on the Naknek River this past week. Swinging flies for big Alaska rainbows. Jerry has supported Mangled Fly for years, wearing a new hat on his many adventures. The Black Mangled Fly hat is great for fall / winter fishing hat, as black will absorb the sun rays and keep you warm. Hat will also fit nicely under the Mangled Fly Beanie if you need a little extra warmth
- A New Mangled Fly Camo hat is on the way, after a great summer of good luck with last batch of Camo hats , I can’t wait to see New Mangled Fly Camo Hat what we can catch with the New Camo hats. We went with the classic Mangled Fly Logo on this batch with a different Digital Camo pattern. Should have the New Hats on the site in a week or so. I’m current sold out of the original Camo Hats, but if you want one of the last ones, give Justin at Muskegon River Fly Shop a call he has a few remaining in stock.
Coming Soon – New Mangled Fly Clothing

on the first run, grab it now before it’s gone.
- A brand New Item to the Shop area will be the Mangled Fly Camo Board Shorts. These shorts are meant to fish in, meant to get dirty, and even meant to swim in. More like a board short, will dry quick and will not be too hot in the sun. I had a chance to test these out before we put the Mangled Fly logo on them. Very comfortable and a great short for summer time fun.
We will only have limited quantity and sizes available so get them while you can. Hope to post inventory this week. If they sell out before you can get a pair drop me an email and I’ll see if we have additional interest to get more in stock.
- A popular item in the past has been our long sleeve sun shirts, Tidal and Orginal Long Sleeve (both now on Sale). This year we added a twist of Camo to the look. The picture below is not the finalized logo, we have added a little green and black to the Classic Mangled Fly Logo. I will make sure to post the updated picture of the shirt when they arrive this week. I’m looking forward to this shrit for the late summer and early fall. This is a staple of my clothing attire. I wear them fishing, to the gym, and around the house. Very comfortable and has UV protection against the sun. Again we did a limited run in sizes and quantity so get it while you can. But also another item if we don’t have your size, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
